that time i was the worst younglife leader ever
So if you're a Young Life leader, you might invite some of your high school friends over for a slumber party. If you invite some of your high school friends over for a slumber party, you might try to plan out some things to do that night. If you're planning some things to do that night with your high school friends, you might decide going saran wrapping sounds fun. If you decide to go saran wrapping, you might decide to go ding-dong ditching while you wait for it to get late enough. If you go ding-dong ditching with your high school friends, you might decide to try to impress them by taking on a really big house with a really, REALLY big driveway. And if you take on a really big house with a really, REALLY big driveway, you might give the person living in that house enough time to get a pretty good description of your car while you're sprinting down their really, REALLY big driveway. And if they get a good description of your car, they might call the police. And then the police might find you. And then they might follow you and wait for you to go 2 miles over the speed limit so that they can pull you over. And then they might pull you over at 11 o'clock at night and make you and your high school friends get out of the car and tell you how terrible of a person you are and how you scared people and are a terrible example for your high school friends. And then you might have to cry in front if your high school friends and explain to the police how you were just trying to show your high school friends that you can have fun without drinking and partying and boys. And then the police MIGHT let you go home and continue your slumber party after he's reminded you that they should be calling all of their parents and giving you several tickets. And then you will have successfully given your high school friends their first police encounter. And then you will feel like the worst Young Life leader ever but your high school friends will think this is the best story ever {that they might share with their moms in several years}.
Yes, that happened. Yes, it was really funny once we got home. And no, I will never go ding-dong ditching again.
