DIY leather feather earrings

So I have a thing for leather.

Supplies:

strip of leather (7$ at Michael's)
white paint & paintbrush
earring hook (like 3$ at Michael's)
thick needle
thread
scissors

Instructions:

Cut out the outline of your feather. Place masking tape on feather and paint one half white. Let dry for 30 minutes. Apply a second coat if neccessary. Remove tape once paint is completely dry. Cut slits along sides to make it...feathery. Twist leather to open up slits and give it texture. Take your needle and loopholes thread through the top of your feather and the earring hook, not making it too tight so that it can swing smoothly.

Ta da! Super simple. I also made these black ones. I used a gold sharpie for the dots.

 Happy crafting!
