starting fresh

Once upon a time, I started a blog. It lasted all of about 4 posts and then I ran out of things to say. This time around, I'm keeping up with this thing for real. This past year, there have been a lot of new things and I'm wishing I had documented them more. Thus, I'm starting a new blog. The title "girl gone wife" is a little cheesy but I truly feel that's what I've gone from this year. A year ago, I was 10 days from getting married and had a head full of advice I had yet put into practice. A year later, I am completely new. Marriage has not been easy but it has not been as dreadfully hard as most people said the first year would be. Much of this is attributed to the fact that I married a man with supernatural patience and graciousness. Moving to North Carolina as soon as we got home from our honeymoon was the biggest adventure and I truly feel our marriage would be completely different if we had stayed in Dallas. It's forced us to cling to each other in meeting new people and friends. It's forced me to allow Casey to lead me and trust he has my best interested in mind in decision making. It's caused us to trust the Lord in big things like jobs and finances and providing friends and family here that might not have been as much of a struggle if we hadn't moved to a place where we had no connections and knew no one. And throughout this all, the Lord has proven worthy of our trust. Casey has proven deserving of my greatest respect. And our somewhat spontaneity decision to move here has proven to be the greatest decision we ever made. We love Asheville and the people we've met here and the life that we've truly built from scratch.

I want this blog to be a lifestyle blog - a place where I can share my new love of clean eating, style {home & dress}, diy projects, hubs and I's adventures, and my faith.

I'm excited to start over new with this thing! Thanks in advance for following along.
