moose crossing

This past weekend, we went camping with our good friends, the Moose's, down in Greenville. We met the Moose's just a week after moving here at church and became instant friends. Their wedding in September turned out to be the most epic story Casey and I will ever tell, which included a crazy stalker who tried to break up their wedding and Casey triumphantly bouncing him out of there. Seriously, it happened. I can't make this stuff up.

The Mooses moved to Charlotte about a month and a half ago for Matt's job and we were so sad so it was a sweet time to catch up with them and play LOTS of games.

Gatsby learned to swim and it was seriously the best thing ever. He picked it up right away and Casey and I were giddy watching him. We're a tad bit obsessed with our dog-child. But then, while we were sitting around afterwards, I picked a few leaches off of me and the giddiness ended.

This makes TWO vacation weekends in a row I've had with this man and it's been so sweet to relax after the crazy Spring semester we've had with work and YoungLife and everything in between. Our little house is coming together more so I should have some pictures up soon. Hubs is in Chicago on a business trip until Thursday and I'm mega sad but it's exciting he's getting to do big boy stuff.

On Saturday night, we all stayed up until the wee hours of the night talking about marriage and the things we suck at and the things we've all learned. It was a sweet time to look at all that we've learned and how much better at resolving conflict we've gotten. Here's to another a year of getting even better at all of that and many more adventures!
